ShootDay

Membership and booking for UK shooting clubs

Run the club from your phone. Members book from theirs.

Applications, licence checks, bookings and payments in one place — set up by the volunteers who run the club, used by members on the day.

Built with UK clubs, for the volunteers who run them. Nothing to pay until a member pays you.

What it does

Applications and licence checks

Apply online, upload the certificate, the club checks it and records the number and expiry. The file is deleted the moment they do.

Booking

Open range time by the lane, scheduled shoots by the place. A member sees why something is closed to them, in plain words, before they try.

The gate, on a phone

The roster for today's shoot, one tap to check somebody in, a guest's fee taken on the spot. Attendance is recorded because you ran the day, not as a second job.

Pricing

No subscription. A small commission when money moves.

There is nothing to pay to set up and nothing to pay each month. When a member pays the club through ShootDay, ShootDay keeps a small percentage. A quiet club pays nothing; a busy club pays a little more, and got a lot more done.

A worked example

5%

of each payment, taken as the card fee is — never invoiced.

A £95 annual membershipthe club receives £90.25
A £28 clay shoot placethe club receives £26.60
A month with no payments£0

Card processing fees apply, as they would anywhere. Larger clubs get a lower rate — ask.

Your data

Looked after properly.

Clubs hold sensitive information about real people, and we treat it that way. Data is kept in the UK, each club’s data is its own, and we keep only what the club needs for as long as it needs it. How we look after it is written down in plain English, and you can read it before you sign anything.

How it starts

  1. One

    Talk to us

Get in touch and we’ll set the club up with you, based on your specific needs. Zero cost.

  2. Two

    Set up payments

Connect your club to the payment portal. Ten minutes.

  3. Three

    Bring your members over

We’ll import your current members into the system and be on hand to help them settle in.

  4. Four

    Link your site

We help you connect ShootDay to your current website.

Questions clubs ask

We're a Home Office approved club — does it keep what we need?
Attendance per session and a certificate register with numbers and expiries, without holding the scans.
Our committee isn't very technical.
Neither were the clubs we built it with. Set-up is done with you; the daily loop is a phone and one tap.
Who owns the data?
The club is the controller; ShootDay is the processor, under a data processing agreement you can read before you sign.
Can members belong to two clubs?
Yes — one account, and each club checks and sees only its own members.
What about members who don't use email?
They can still be members. A record doesn’t need a login, and the gate works for them the same.
Do we have to take payments online?
Only if you want to. Cash at the gate is recorded the same way; online payment is there when you’re ready.

Bring your club onto ShootDay.

Tell us about the club and we set it up with you — usually within the week. Or email support@shootday.co.uk.
